Hi p.a would it be possible to get some details as to what you feed your birds,live food, grain mix etc. And some photos of your fire back pheasant enclosures and birds.

Hi Jason, we make our own mix, below is the ingredients for Adult Breeders

Equal parts as follows:

Whole Corn
Grey sunflower
Black sunflower
Oats
Wheat
Panicum
Barley
Peas
Lupins
Beans
Soyabean
Gamebird Breeder Micro Pellets

Other:
Shell Grit

Supplements fed every second day:

Shredded Lettuce, Shredded Silverbeet, Shredded Cabbage, Chopped broccoli, Cropped Seeding grass, Bread and Cat Biscuits (senior).

Liquid vitamins are given 1 month prior to season, once during the season then again before moult.

Hi Hchasers, Photos would not show Genetics, only D.N.A would reveille the origins & relationship between test subjects. A Photo will only ever show the Phenotype of any Bird. D.N.A has been done on six breeders we are aware of but for privacy reasons & at the breeders request these would not be made public.

Yes all young Firebacks are sold, we have orders to 2011++ very sort after Pheasant species across Australia.

Hi Jason, we get them from Laucke Mills in S.A http://www.lauckemills.com.au/poultryfood3e4.html you can ask your local produce store to get them in if they deal with Laucke or email the Laucke rep in your state (if there is one) and ask for the nearest store that sells them.
