What breed are we? (dumped chooks and others)

Nos. 1 - 3 are the three dumped chooks discussed in another thread which you hadn't already seen photos of.

No. 4 is one of my black bantams.

Any thoughts on breeds of these?

And, yes, No. 2 had a bald head. Apparently, that is likely because of the rooster/s she was with down the Gold Coast. A few weeks later and it hasn't grown back. (Though, she isn't rooster-less here either).

What about the other bantam? Same breed? Different?

i would say O.E.G bantams

1= wheaten

2= partridge

3= silver duckwing

agree with tahir----the dumped chooks look oeg bantams---and they are excellent foragers so will have been able to survive well-----lay small eggs but make excellent mums-----be warned though they usually hide the nest well and disappear to return 3 weeks later with a clutch of chicks :lol:

I hadn't seen any photos of OEG with yellow legs. Is that alright, or is that due to a X?

I'd been thinking...and this was based purely on uneducated-guesswork...that they might have been leghorn Xs, particularly the white one.

oeg game have dark legs or light legs---but usually not so yellow, so maybe they are crosses----cheers pam

Thanks all for your input so far. More input is still welcome, so don't anyone else be afraid to speak up.

On the day I got them Kam31 said the bald headed one definitely appeared to be OEG. She ought to be commended for her attention to the stuff she has learned here, as she admitted she was still quite new to what's what, and still got it right.

But, still no-one has dared give a name to the breed of my black (and the partridge) bantams. They're the mothers of those eight black chickens with the mother hen. I already know pretty much what their father is, so it would be neat to know what their mothers are.
