Alice i dunno if you'll ever grow out of it. My daughter has her mothers eyes :-?

If you ask your dad he'll probably say the same thing :-D

5am pitch black and i'm looking for the spot i'm supposed to go to start setting up for the day. About 20 metres in front of me is a small yellow light floating in all directions. Could it be a min-min light?
Nope, it's my old mate bunyanuternie setting his birds up with a miners head lamp on his head
Well after setting up, it wasn't long before we were meeting the local poultry enthusiasts and selling turkeys and purebred chooks :-D
The turkeys were extremely popular with the locals and were going out at a great rate of knots. Before long Ian had sold out of turkeys. Well done mate! Bet ya wished you had have taken twice as many :-D
It took about an hour for the chooks to steadily start selling, but by 12 we had sold most of them :-D
I also got to meet County Lodge and her husband. Glad you and the chooks all got home safely :) I think referring to Ian and I as rugged is being very complimentary lol.
Apart from selling poultry it was a good day to tell people about APF and between both of us we managed to hand out quite a few flyers :)

All in all it was a great day out :-D Beautiful weather, met a lot of people who are into poultry and sold a few chooks :-D Have popped a few pics in the gallery ;)

Looking forward to the next Nanango Market day :)

Cheers n chooks

Darren

I'm Back... After a great Day at the"Markets" I'm finally Home and back , on the Forum   , I was starting to panic as we were having computer problems but all seems OK, phew.. Like Dazza said the market was a huge success , except I am hoarse , if you think Darren and I can type then you want to hear us talk , We handed out plenty of Flyers and got our Poultry Message across very well , Most people we spoke to were very much like all of us , and didn't just want to buy a hen but also find out ....
what they eat ...
Where they sleep....??
When they start laying ..
what are the best materials for laying boxes..
When will they breed..
and the list goes on..
Of course the first thing we asked them was "are you on the net" ;)
Problem Solved
The buy of the day without a doubt definately went to "County Lodge" and her Stunning Sussex Pullets , very nice nice to meet both you and your Hubby , Mate . We hope you enjoyed your visit to Nanango.
I called in to an old mates to deliver some turkeys on the way home ,The old mate has been breeding poultry for over 50 years , and asked me to let Darren know he was very impressed by the Quality of our Dazza's Birds , quite a feather in your "cap" mate as old Ed really knows his stuff.
A great day was had by all .
Hopefully we'll se some more members soon , Ian

I wouldn't have taken you for a talker, Ian.

Glad you both had a great day! Oh to have had a poultry market around here today! My husband has been away on a golf trip since Thursday, and I haven't bought a SINGLE bird!

How often are you doing the market thing?

Deb :-D
