i rekone a mynah style trap would work then you could give the birds a scare or relocate them once they are caught

Getting rid of crows is a bit like getting rid of cane roads. We've tried that too. You get rid of them for a few days, and then the neighbours crows move in. It's pretty pointless unless you can keep up the relocation on an ongoing basis. It's also highly likely that they would just fly back to home base from even very long distances.

The thing that I hate most about having them around, is not the egg stealing. We've managed that now OK, it's the disease and parasites that they bring. But that's because we've got some open pens that we still need to cover.

how about putting some plastic eggs in there :?:

it might deter them if they cant crack them open or get anything out of them, so they might just give up eventually [smilie=a_whyme.gif]

Just to add to that, you could try the method of stopping chooks eating your eggs, you put a small hole in either end of the egg blow out the contents then fill it with chillies or something along those lines ???

crows are very smart i herd one story were the people would use shot guns to shoot them and a after a while the crows learnt how far the shot gun would go

Funny you know they don't take the golf balls, pity. I would not kill the crows. We have the dead one occasionally around the place as I think they may have got hold of some rat bait from peoples places around here. I alway bait in stations where the dogs, chooks and wildlife can't get it.

I have been going down a few times a day for the eggs and this has upset the crows they sit on top of the chook pen or in the tree near by and really go to town. Larry yells at them then the dogs chase them (the crows)
