Gold and silver laced polish

I saw one recently at a local poultry show, similar to that but I would have said silver laced instead of gold.

Thanks Hi5 for posting these 2 pics.
They show the major difference between some good and bad points of the variety.
A comparison of these is an education .
The top one shows the lovely clarity of lacing that is required, every feather edged in an even band of green/black with the feather centre contrasting and beautifully clear in colour.It also shows the robustness of the breed in a well shaped solid body, something the breed sometimes lacks as a result of thier rarity and inbreeding.
The second shows 3 obvious faults, high incorrect tail carriage, the feathers are not laced but 'ticked' and the centre of the feather is 'mealy' not clear and distinct, both very hard faults to rectify.She does have one redeeming feature in this exercise she is beautifully laced in the crest, something the top hen is not, her crest is to dark and the lacing to course giving no room for a clear defined centre to the feather.
It is something to remember with these 2 laced varieties (golds and silvers), the crest and beard should both be clearly laced , not a solid colour.
If these are Australian birds I hope I have not offended thier owners by being so critical.
They are 2 stunning varieties and wish those 'giving it a go' with them every success.Once these are perfected then the door opens to a number of other sub varieties, stunningly beautiful but not seen in this country.
That top hen is one from my experience as a judge would be a good chance for 'Best of Breed' compared to many benched at most shows today.

Edit 1:Looking back at the pics, the cock in the pic shows exactly what I mean by crest and beard lacing, his crest is too white, no lacing, his beard too dark, again no lacing, what a difference would be made if he were correctly laced in crest and beard.
Edit2:My apologies Hi5, I did not realise you posted earlier 2 pics of gold laced, my comments above refer to the pics of the silvers.I am intrigued by the gold cock, not correctly laced in the crest, by my thinking, with a gold shaft, black feather centre and gold lacing but WOW it is a stunning effect, none the less.

Both have the wow X factor for me but thats just based on the colour which I have never seen on polish before I would also like to buy some or fertile eggs if anyone has them for sale?

A Chooky friend and I are trying to get gold and silver laced happening in WA .

I plan to go on from there to get penciling happening - long term plan .

Great pics, I hope they are all Australian. We are trying hard to get this happening in WA, will post pics if we have some success. Just starting out but it's great to read in detail about the lacing. The silver lace are proving very difficult to get hold of.
