What got you interested in peafowl

I thought I would ask what got you interested in peafowl?

For me it was my grandfather who has them and as a kid I used to help pop feed all the farm fowl as he called them so I guess it was only natural I took over the peas he had after he passed away and I think I am doing him proud

Their colour got me it was love at first sight and the rest is history i cannot imagine now not ever having them they are a big part of the family

I saw them at the zoo first and they had 3 males they all had their tails up and I just wanted them instantly now after looking at peacocks australias web site like 100 times I am wanting them all

after well over 50 years I cant remember but its a good past time and they can sometimes still surprise me :-D

The zoo was the first place for me too they had both the blues and the greens both looked really good so I went on the hunt for some

I just saw the advertised and have always loved looking at them when ever I saw them so I made that snap decision to buy

As a child at the zoo i think???,,,,, it has taken many years for me to be in a position to be lucky enough to own some,,,,,,, now i just want to own them all.... :lol:

Yes wildlife park for me they have the blue and they have white walking around and life all of you love at first sight

My father and his father had peafowl all their lives so the tradition was handed down as it will be to my sons

The internet for my family and I have seen them many time of course of the years but the internet has allowed us to find out how to care for them and then decide to buy a pair which we did 6 months ago so thanks to this site for the information we needed to get started and keep them in good health
